ALEXANDRA
TSIONTSI

After graduating from the Dental department of Aristotle University in 2009, I took the opportunity to work full time in the UK for over 10 years, treating both private and NHS patients. I proudly returned to Thessaloniki in 2021 to open a brand new dental surgery, offering a range of dental services to both adults and children, fluently speaking English if preferred.

Providing the most appropriate treatment for each individual patient is also a very important part of my approach, as I am aware that patients may have differing priorities or personal circumstances that may influence the choice of treatment.

Having developed a very successful style and approach from my time in the UK, I have embedded this into the Elite Dentistry patient consultation process, as detailed below:

1

Patient Discussion

Allowing the patient the opportunity to explain any dental issues they have been experiencing or concerns they may have before an examination, is a very important part of my approach and helps to reduce any stress or anxiety of my patients, as this usually makes the patient feel that they are been listened to and they are not being pressurised.

2

Examination

A thorough examination of the mouth, gums and teeth will provide information on the overall condition and highlight any areas of concern or that require treatment. During the examination, if an x-ray is recommended to further investigate any areas of concern, this will be discussed and can be undertaken instantly if agreed.

3

Feedback & Recommendation

Following an examination, I provide detailed feedback to the patient and if any treatment is required, I ensure that all choices of treatment types are discussed with my patients, providing an honest view of the pro's and con's of each and providing my recommendation. The final decision on the type of treatment will always be in agreement with the patient before any works are carried out and their decision is respected.

4

Treatment

Before commencing any treatment, I will always discuss what will happen during the treatment process with the patient, so that they know what to expect beforehand.

Many treatments can be completed in a single visit, if multiple visits are required, this will be discussed with patients beforehand to detail the reason, estimated time between visits and any dental care requirements in between visits.

During treatments, I am careful to ensure that the patient is comfortable and able to pause at any point, if they need to take a short break or refresh their mouth.

5

Post Treatment Advice

Following the completion of the treatment, I will ensure that the patient is fully aware of any aftercare requirements and patients can call me if they have any questions post-treatment.
